It would be reported that after Starboy Record label boss, Wizkid beat the likes of Olamide, Korede Bello, Harrysong and Patoranking to winning the award of ‘Artiste of the Year 2016’ at the 17th edition Ghana Music Awards.
The event which was held on Saturday, May 7, in Ghana at the Accra International Conference Centre had amazing stage performances by Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, R2Bees, Adomaa and Efya.
As a way of encouraging new acts in the music industry, Wizkid signed three Ghanaian artistes to his record label. After receiving his award, Wizkid further announced the addition of R2Bees, Mr Eazi and Efya has new members of Starboy family.
The event was hosted by Chris Attoh and Naa Ashorkor and big winners of the night include EL, Sarkordie, Stonebwoy and more.
