Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has defeated Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar in the APC presidential primaries, held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium today. Though the result is still being counted, but it was observed that Buhari had polled over 90% of the votes from the sorted votes, a margin his contender, Atiku cannot cover even from the unsorted votes.

Atiku was said to have bounced into the convention with pockets loaded with US Dollars, dolling out as little as $2,000 to $5000 to each delegate, in exchange for their votes.

With this result, it appears, Buhari will be the APC flagbearer to face President Goodluck Jonathan who was adopted solely by the PDP as their candidate for the 2015, general elections.
